In deze videoperformance verschijnt een figuur, gemaskeerd als paard, schrijvend met stift op papier: “I Am Stupid.”
Wat ogenschijnlijk een absurde of zelfondermijnende daad lijkt, ontvouwt zich als een gelaagd spel met identiteit, zelfbeeld en authenticiteit. Het masker ontneemt de maker zijn herkenbare gelaat — en daarmee ook zijn vastgeroeste ik.
De zin wordt een performatieve bekentenis, een provocatie, een spiegel. Niet om domheid te claimen, maar om de stem te ontmaskeren die ons vaak beperkt.
Het paard, traditioneel symbool van kracht en intuïtie, fungeert hier als gids: een doorbraakfiguur die de toeschouwer uitnodigt zichzelf opnieuw te bezien, los van oordeel en constructie.
De vraag blijft hangen in de ruimte:
Wie ben je, zonder wat je over jezelf gelooft?
