‘Your point of view determines what you see’, Nelson Mandela.
Let’s meet here, is the most recent work from the series‘Automatic writing’. In this work Meester chooses to publish a newspaper from her cuttings. This way she literally offers people a place to meet each other and to come to a better understanding of one another. This newspaper is a metaphor to bridge the fear for the unknown of religion and to act as a universal place to communicate with each other.
Meester shares her personal and social awareness in a playful, responsive and slightly ironical appeal to a broad public.
The publication “Let’s meet here!” will be presented at various locations in the world including, amongst others,Bandung, Los Angeles and Basel.
