Voor het project Tekstisoppermachtig.nl leverde ik mijn bijdrage in de vorm van de zin: ‘Als we gaan, gaan we allemaal.’ Deze was te zien op het dak van Dara in Amersfoort.
De zin was ook vanuit de trein te zien en laat ruimte voor uiteenlopende interpretaties, afhankelijk van de gemoedstoestand van de toeschouwer. Ze kan opzwepend of verontrustend klinken – we gaan allemaal, als we gaan. Tegelijkertijd schuilt er ook iets hoopvols in: als we dan toch gaan, laten we dan in verbondenheid gaan, als één.
Het tekstbeeld nodigt uit tot bewustwording van de kwetsbaarheid van ons bestaan op deze aarde.
For the project Tekstisoppermachtig.nl, I contributed the phrase “If we go, we all go.”, displayed on the rooftop of Dara in Amersfoort.
The sentence was also visible from the train and leaves room for various interpretations, depending on the viewer’s state of mind. It can come across as rousing or unsettling — if we go, we all go. Yet there’s also a sense of hope: if we must go, then let it be together, in unity.
This text piece encourages awareness of the fragility of our existence on this planet.
