‘Nous en profitons tous les jours’ / ‘We buiten het iedere dag uit’
Een in-situ installatie voor de groepstentoonstelling Poubelle in projectruimte WG-Kunst, opgebouwd uit spullen van buurtbewoners die ik op straat vond.
De installatie verbeeldt het circulerende systeem van onze hedendaagse consumptiemaatschappij. Binnen dit systeem worden spanningen zichtbaar tussen schuld en onschuld, gebruik en misbruik, macht en onmacht, armoede en rijkdom.
De glijbanen in het werk bieden een symbolische uitweg — een sprankje hoop, een mogelijkheid om aan de kolkende kookpot te ontsnappen.

An in-situ installation for the group exhibition Poubelle at project space WG-Kunst, constructed from items found on the streets, donated or discarded by local residents.
The installation reflects the cyclical nature of today’s consumer society. Within this system, tensions emerge between guilt and innocence, use and abuse, power and powerlessness, poverty and wealth.
The slides incorporated into the work offer a symbolic escape — a glimmer of hope, a possible way out of the boiling pot.
